Moving on into our holiday season, we are looking forward to making and delivering Thanksgiving baskets with our CTCC Youth Crew, church anniversary celebration, decorating of the church, holiday family meals with our church family, the annual Christmas play at our cowboy church, 4-H club community service and Christmas party, and all of the other wonderful things the holidays bring.
We are also looking forward to another great county Horse Judging competition the first Saturday in December, District 12 4-H Food Show and Food Challenge the second weekend in December, lots of birthdays including Grandpa, Daddy, Morgan, and her BFF Abi, niece Lily, nephew Eric, and many more.
We love to do baking and make things for friends. There will be decorating, dressing up the horses in holiday gear, Christmas carolling, shopping and sharing lots of love and memories!
I also get a bit frustrated and “down” feeling around the Christmas season for the materialistic, consumer-driven attitude that has overtaken our country. But I’ve learned to overcome and not let it suppress sharing the love of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior’s wonderful birth, God’s greatest gift to us that is truly something worth celebrating.
May Christ be the Light of your Holiday Season this year!
